Recapitulating

At the start of this exploration, I asked myself the question how it is possible that horoscopes can have any meaningful significance and on which facts this supposed significance might be based. In order to gain some insight into this, I have investigated the sources from which the horoscope’s data are derived, as well as the way in which these are processed. The mental steps that I have taken so far on this exploratory journey can be reviewed here.

Reviewing our findings once again

1. The horoscope provides an image of the cosmic situation seen from one specific standpoint in time and space. This is the South point on the Horizon. To review this topic, please click here.

This individual anchor point is first converted into cosmic terms and then transferred to a picture plane. To review this topic, please click here.

The measuring systems involved are connected to each other by an analogical correlation. To review this topic, please click here.

2. The qualitative aspect of projection is ‘being passive’, ‘without intermediary’, and is therefore objective. To review this topic, please click here.

3. Contracting the cosmic situation into a specific time and place gives the horoscope both its limitation and its potentiality. To review this topic, please click here.

4. The Ascendant point is free of projection and offers direct contact with the cosmic and objective realm. To review this topic, please click here and here and here.

5. Just like its Center, the circle’s circumference, too, is unknowable. Only by postulating an observer who declares, in a polarizing way, "Here I stand, and all that I see around me, I am not", the knower and his field come into being. To review this topic, please click here.

6. Analogical reasoning leads us to the insight that in each of us, an inner Sun must be present. To review this topic, please click here and here.

7. In our personal energetic field, the objectivity of the Ascendant point is activated in the Pars Fortunae. To review this topic, please click here.
